well I don’t think the beds were clean they had little black flies that had bite, couldn’t sleep under the covers.

Basic, small rooms conveniently located
This is a simple, basic hotel with few amenities, but it's very close to the main strip in Ciudad Valles where there are restaurants and stores within an easy walk. The wifi was excellent. The main reason to be in C. Valles is to explore the area, and the hotel Kali is a fine place to rest between tours. Also, it feels very secure and quiet.
There was a dog in the room next door, and I think it was left alone much of the time because it barked quite a bit. I don't think this is the hotel's fault, but it was unfortunate. It might be good to know that C. Valles doesn't have the kind of charm that many other Mexican towns have. It's sort of a strip mall. There's no strolling in the zocolo or enjoying elotes from street vendors. But, as I mentioned, the surrounding area is the reason to stay here.
